I know you guys are getting excited for Spring Break, it is just around the corner!
We have been very busy in class these last few weeks.
Lately we have been working on sequential order. Focusing on using clue words such as first, next, then, last, before, after, later, at last, etc. to retell stories and to put events in order. These kids have been doing a great job with this.
We also had our 3rd Benchmark Testing in Writing, Math, and Reading. It was a lot of work and your child has been working very hard to do their best! If you are interested in your child's score please contact me by e-mail and I will happily let you know.
We have also started animal reports which the students have been doing research on in class. They have a packet they have been working on which lays out all their research in an organized and easy to understand way. Over Spring Break, your child will be required to complete their FINAL DRAFT of their report to turn in when they return from the break. They will already have their rough draft written out and all they need to do is copy it over on their final draft pages and complete a beautiful colored picture of their animal :)
When we get back from Spring Break, our Zoo field trip is COMING up! Our trip is on Monday the 28th and will take place the majority of the day at the zoo. I thank the parents who have signed up and are volunteering to come along and join in on the fun! If you are a parent who wants to go, please contact me! I need to make sure you are fingerprinted and cleared in our system in order to join along. Unfortunately, it is too late now to get the fingerprint process done in the time allowed. However, I encourage you to get it done so you can join in on future adventures!
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me :)
Have a lovely day Panther parents!
